We have five kiddos (ages 3 to 17) and understand the need for routine even during summer months. It sounds so neatly packaged to have chores and areas of growth in the morning and the afternoons for screens or an outing. The struggle I have found is the kid's attitude and resistance towards this, as this is how things operate during the regular school year. I sensed this with your kiddos and some of the comments they made. :) I totally get that it's not about our kid's feelings (because few are the children that actually WANT to work and challenge themselves); however, having implemented this, it's not always as stress-free and smooth as it might sound. I really enjoy your videos and the content you include in them. Parenting feels like such an impossible task if it were not for knowing our kids ultimately are the Lord's.

7:01 oh my goodness! Her words just brought tears to my eyes. Thank you! I have been in what seems like a long season of waiting for the next thing for me to be doing. I am an RN and had to take a step back so I could be completely available to my youngest son who was diagnosed on as being autistic. I’ve been enjoying it but I feel this tremendous guilt, even when it’s hard. I’ve been praying and asking God what am I doing next? What’s next? Do I go back to work? And I just keep hearing him tell me to stay. So to hear her say there’s a rewiring in my brain that’s happening, it just shouted at me what God has been saying in telling me to stay. Thank you! 🙏🏼 ❤
